Carrick: Out-of-favour Ugarte still has part to play
Manchester United boss Michael Carrick says Manuel Ugarte still has a significant role to play under him.
The midfielder is yet to start under Carrick, and has clocked just 27 minutes of action since his appointment, featuring as an unused substitute in three of the six matches.
Carrick said: I like Manu a lot, hes been terrific around the group with his attitude and how we go about it, his training qualities, hes got a lot of good attributes.
When the team is winning, there is a big upside to that.
For one or two boys who havent played as much, it makes it a little bit tougher to get in the team, but everyone is pushing each other.
"Many are desperate to get on the pitch a bit more. There are times when we might need to change things, and hes a big part of that.

Carrick responds to questions on Maguire future
Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick says he hopes "there's a lot more to come" from Harry Maguire as he faced questions about the defender's contract situation.
Maguire is in the final year of his deal at Old Trafford and it is unclear at this stage what the future holds for the 32-year-old.
Stripped of the captaincy by Erik ten Hag, Maguire has overcome a lot of ups and downs at United but is now playing some of his best football under Carrick.
Harry's an impressive character," said Carrick. "He's had a great career so far and hopefully there's a lot more to come.
"I think in what he's been here and the journey and the experiences that he's had certainly since he's been here and with England as well I think show exactly what he is."
